The Japanese Snowball is a beautiful, showy shrub that produces large, white flower clusters in the spring attracting butterflies. These flowers are then replaced by small red berries that will attract birds. It works well as a specimen plant with its natural round shape and thick green foliage or it can be incorporated into a group or hedge with other Japanese snowballs.

I’ve actually purchased from various online nurseries. However, the Japanese Snowball plants I received from Newblooms Nursery were so excellently packaged & arrived in pristine condition. Shipping was also expedient. I will definitely shop at Newblooms Nursery again.

Came dry

I planted immediately after they arrived and put mulch around them, they look limp and dry and I water every day

So far so good

When the box arrived, many leaves & the soil were dry, and brown paper was shoved against those leaves, probably to stabilize the plant. I was a bit concerned. but immediately watered the plant and placed it in a dry bucket. I nurtured it until I could get it planted two days later and have made sure it is watered during dry weather. It looks like it is going to thrive; and actually, I placed posts and screening around and above the plant to prevent animals from tearing it out until it is well rooted. So, I'm looking forward to this growing into as lovely a plant as a Japanese Snowball plant I previously had. More will be determined over time.
