Phlox is a sure sign that spring is underway. Like creeping phlox, these gorgeous ground covers are often seen flowing over the sides of retaining walls and filling the foreground of garden beds, but bloom a little later. The bright purple and white color of 'Bedazzled Lavender' will simply pop in your garden. Where many phlox carry shades of pink, 'Bedazzled' is shades of purple with wisps of white. This cooler coloration is perfect for complimenting, the browns of wood, grays of limestone, reds of brick and the bright greens of spring. With a penchant for rocky low quality soil, 'Bedazzled Lavender' grows no taller than six inches and maintains a dense spreading habit that makes it an ideal ground cover for the rocky difficult locations. It also thrives in containers where you can take advantage of its low water needs to make a superb planted container, or us it as a spiller along with a more vertically styled thriller.

Phlox 'Bedazzled Lavender' - Hybrid Spring Phlox

hybrid phlox is an easy to grow ground cover than can tolerate poor and rocky soil. Good drainage is important for phlox and it is advised to cut it back in summer, just after bloom, to promote dense growth and refresh the plant. Phlox will continue to spread and can be easily subdivided and replanted in the summer.
