Whoops-a-Daisy was cultivated as an improved dwarf leucanthemum and is the heir in waiting to ‘Snowcap’. Selected for its exceptionally dense, rounded, ball-shaped mounds of dark green foliage, this Leucanthemum becomes literally blanketed in large 3-4”, white flowers on gold centers. Flowers are long lasting for a Leucanthemum starting in early summer and finally subsiding in late to midsummer. Shasta daisies are excellent plants for the border of a perennial garden. Pop them into areas and they will serve to highlight whatever color you have there. Plant them in mass and you will create a blanket of white that is a true sight to behold. These small perennials also thrive in containers and can be moved around to suit the occasion.

General care for any tree or shrub is easy, but like any living thing will require your attention. Please educate yourself and follow these simple rules.

Leucanthemum 'Whoops-a-Daisy' - Shasta Daisy

Leucanthemum require full sun to be at their best, so planting in a site that receives full 6+ hours of sun each day is essential. Winter drainage is essential and cutting back the flower heads and foliage in the winter can promote air flow and improve wet conditions, but we roots will kill Shasta Daisies, so if you experience wet winter conditions raised beds or containers are recommended.
