We couldn't resist the Saliva, because of the full deep purple blooms that are on the cutting edge of garden fashion. Evening Attire has deep purple/blue flowers that are held in place by dark purple calyxes. Salvia is easy to grow and we like to offer plants that provide great results with minimal input. When we saw this bold and different cultivar we grabbed it and can't wait to see it add amazing color and performance in your gardens. Growing to about 20 inches tall and wide, saliva makes a great flowering perennial for the midpoint of garden beds, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. Planted in mass it can be truly stunning offering a platform of color to pollinators when it is in bloom.

Salvia 'Evening Attire' FASHIONISTA®
Easy to grow in almost any climate, saliva is a tough drought resistant plant. During the bloom period it does benefit from additional water and will perform better if watered regularly from spring into mid-summer. Deadheading the plants will encourage new blooms to come on. You can cut them all the way back to the newest foliage at the base of the plant if they become leggy, if cut back the plants may also rebloom, but usually the flowers won't be as voluminous as the first bloom. This is a great plant for beginning gardeners.
