Antirrhinum hispanicum 'Roseum' is a charming perennial snapdragon cultivar native to the rocky slopes and open spaces of Spain and Morocco. This semi-evergreen perennial offers exceptional beauty and resilience, making it a valuable addition to sunny gardens, particularly in challenging growing conditions.
This compact plant forms a low-growing mound measuring 8 to 18 inches tall and spreading 12 to 24 inches wide. The foliage is one of its most distinctive features: fuzzy, silvery-blue to silver-green leaves with a glaucous coating that gives the plant a soft, succulent-like texture. The leaves create an attractive backdrop throughout the growing season, even when the plant is not in bloom.
From late spring through fall, the plant produces delicate pale pink snapdragon-shaped flowers with a characteristic pale yellow dot on the lower lip. The blooms appear on spikes rising above the foliage and maintain their display throughout the summer months, providing long-lasting color and attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators to the garden.

Antirrhinum hispanicum Roseum - Spanish Snapdragon
Heat and humidity resistant variety of snapdragon. Plant in sites where the soil is well drained. Will tolerate rocky soil, but compaction should be avoided, especially in clay soils. Plant after the last frost for best results and allow the plant to get established spring to summer. Water frequently after planting until the plant becomes more established and drought tolerant.
