This bald cypress is an excellent specimin tree for garden bed or focal area of the yard. The weeping branches create a cascading water fall effect that draws the eye with a striking display. The bald cypress is a fast growing tree with lot of character. It is a deciduous conifer meaning the needles will drop in the fall and regrow in the spring adding to the charm by providing a beautiful coppery fall color. This weeping variety makes a great specimen tree adding texture to garden beds with its feathery needled branches and fibrous reddish bark. These trees are native to the southeastern wetlands and do well in wet soils but are also tolerant to occasional droughts.
