This sterile barberry is not invasive! Sunjoy Mini Maroon was carefully developed over the course of 10 years, but we love the results. Mini Maroon offers deep purple and red foliage with small circular leaves the travel down the stem of each plant and grow into an outstanding mound shape. This shrub needs no pruning to stay small and lush and works great in border plantings and beds where you might otherwise think boxwood. It is highly resistant to deer and rabbit damage and produces not of the seeds that made other varieties so problematic.

Caring for Barberry Sunjoy Mini Maroon®
A great low-maintenance plant for sunny spaces. Prefers medium, well-drained soil, but is soil and drought tolerant once established. Trim to shape in the fall after the berries have fallen off. The plant does not produce seeds and is sterile.
