This sterile barberry is not invasive! Sunjoy Todo® was carefully developed over the course of 10 years, but we love the results. Mini Maroon offers deep purple and red foliage with small circular leaves the travel down the stem of each plant and grow into an outstanding mound shape. This shrub needs no pruning to stay small and lush and works great in border plantings and beds where you might otherwise think boxwood. It is unusual in that it is semi-evergreen. It is highly resistant to deer and rabbit damage and although the golden spring blooms do develop red berries, there is no seed within, as proven in multiple rounds of university testing.

A great low-maintenance plant for sunny spaces. Prefers medium, well-drained soil, but is soil and drought tolerant once established. Trim to shape in the fall after the berries have fallen off. Though the golden spring blooms do develop red berries, there is no seed within, as proven in multiple rounds of university testing.
