Calamint was the 2021 Perennial Plant of the Year is great for sunny, dry areas. Plants grow into spreading clumps of glossy green, mint scented foliage with a distinct flowing upright habit. The pale white/blue flowers appear prolifically all season will attract droves of pollinators. Catmint is a gorgeous native alternative to Russian Sage and will grow in similar conditions.
For those looking for an ultra-easy to grow perennial that is at home in foundation plantings, border gardens, rock gardens, and even containers nepeta is an excellent choice.

Beloved because they are easy to grow these perennials will provide a great show of white color for a long period during the summer. They prefer full sun and will do best in ordinary, but well-drained soil. Cutting the plants back in the spring will promote more compact growth.
