Coreopsis 'Scarlet Ribbons' - Tickseed

Designer Threads® 'Scarlet Ribbons' brings a deep, velvety intensity to threadleaf coreopsis, with maroon-red flowers that stay solid in color from center to petal tip rather than fading or streaking the way many coreopsis blooms do. The flowers open flat and broad, hold their shape and color for many weeks, and sit above the finely textured, thread-like foliage the series is named for — foliage that stays clean and mildew-free thanks to breeding selection specifically for disease resistance. The plant forms a neat, mounded habit about 16 to 18 inches tall and 16 to 20 inches wide, making it a tidy filler for borders, containers, and mixed plantings, and the abundant summer blooms hold up well as cut flowers too.

'Scarlet Ribbons' is an easygoing perennial suited to zones 5 through 9, growing best in full sun and average, well-drained soil, and it becomes quite drought tolerant once established.
