Salvia nemorosa Pink Profusion - Profusion Series

This reblooming hybrid Salvia Nemorosa is the Proven Winners 2024 National Perennial of the Year. And for good reason, the bright pink flowers simply pop on the darker pink calyxes with numerous reblooms especially when deadheaded. The compact stature gives it great flexibility for a number of applications where you would otherwise be unable to use salvia. Finally to top it off, it's just an easy to grow tough plant, the kind that rewards gardeners of all skill levels and can be used in growing conditions that would stress other plants. Beauty, Hardiness, and flexibility all in one package - of course it's a champ.

Salvia is easy to grow and we like to offer plants that provide great results with minimal input. When we saw this champion cultivar we grabbed it and can't wait to see it add amazing color and performance in your gardens. Growing to about 16 inches tall and wide, saliva makes a great flowering perennial for the mid-point of garden beds, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. Planted in mass it can be truly stunning offering a platform of color to pollinators when it is in bloom.

Easy to grow in almost any climate, saliva is a tough drought resistant plant. During the bloom period it does benefit from additional water and will perform better if watered regularly from spring into mid-summer. Deadheading the plants will encourage new blooms to come on. You can cut them all the way back to the newest foliage at the base of the plant if they become leggy, if cut back the plants may also rebloom, but usually the flowers won't be as voluminous as the first bloom. This is a great plant for beginning gardeners.
