Sprinter® Boxwood

Sprinter® is a fast-growing variety of the 'winter gem' boxwood. Its fast growth helps it fill out faster for excellent use as a hedge or border planting. They are easily grown in enriched, well-drained soil and it is recommended to follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a root system. These plants also need some protection from harsh winter conditions or their leaves may bronze from damage. 

Boxwood is a premium evergreen shrub that is seen in landscaping everywhere due to its beautiful green color and dense form that can be pruned into a variety of shapes and sizes to fit any design scape. These shrubs are used as foundation, low hedge, and border plants and because of their beautiful evergreen leaves you will also see them in gardens for use as accent plants. That makes this medium evergreen hedge ideal for beside your house or as a border plant in your yard. It adds a year round green to your landscape with its dense, compact, broad, and open habit. It is a slow grower, which is typically grown as a 2-3' tall shrub with a larger spread. Sprinter as a cultivar grows faster than most boxwoods, but still fills out slowly compared to other shrubs.
