Part of the Magic Show® collection of veronica, ‘White Wands’ variety offers spikey white foliage that is a treat for pollinators. The flowers emerge as green spikes that transition into wands of brilliant white. Another talent of ‘White Wands’ is that it will add excellent vertical texture to your garden and the white color will serve to accent other more colorful plants. Plant around more rounded mounds of flowers to add another dimension of appeal. The bottle-brush-like spikes proliferate during a long bloom period from mid to late summer. You'll find that pollinators flock to the flowers of veronica, which are wonderful additions to a cut flower arrangement. Veronica is an easy to grow perennial that can tolerate part shade and makes a wonderful mid-level flower for a border garden, patio container or raised bed. The green and purple shades pair well with warm oranges and yellows or cooler blues and greens. If you are looking for an easy to care for mid-sized plant that will bring brilliant white and green to your garden, then 'White Wands' is a perfectly good choice.

Veronica 'White Wands' - Spike Speedwell

Veronica can tolerate a wide range of well-drained soil types and adding organic matter to clay or infertile soil will improve growth and reduce maintenance. Even though it can tolerate part-sun, it will flower better in full sun. Deadheading will promote additional blooms. Shear back the foliage if it becomes worn-looking after flowering. Ensure good drainage especially in the winter months.
